What Subscribr costs
Subscribr costs $99 a month on Growth, $249 on Pro and $499 on Max, and there's a free plan that researches but doesn't write. Pay for a year up front and you get 2 months free. Growth drops to $990 for the year, Pro to $2,490 and Max to $4,990.
Subscribr is a tool for YouTube creators that finds video ideas, writes the script, makes the thumbnail and can render the finished video. The free plan gives you the planning and research side and stops at the point where it would make something for you.
The number that decides which plan you need isn't printed beside the prices. Every plan quotes a count of videos a month, and that count assumes a video of roughly 8 minutes.

Subscribr's three paid plans with annual billing selected, read on subscribr.ai on 3 October 2026.
Paying yearly is worth exactly 2 months on all three plans, which is one of the few discounts that turns out to be precisely what it says. The monthly rate per finished minute is $1.50 on Growth, $1.35 on Pro and $1.20 on Max.
The free plan gives you 1 channel, 3 batches of ideas a month and 10 searches of Subscribr's video database. It won't write a script, make a thumbnail or render a video.
What the video counts assume
Growth says up to 8 videos a month and gives you 66 minutes of finished video. Divide one by the other and the video Subscribr has in mind is 8 minutes 15 seconds long. Pro and Max work out at almost exactly the same figure.
So the video count is only true at that length. If your videos run 15 minutes, Growth buys you 4 of them rather than 8, and Max buys 27 rather than 52. Subscribr's own small print says a video's cost depends on its length and the visual mix, and the tool quotes you the price before it renders. The plan box at the top just doesn't say which length it assumed.
Work in minutes rather than videos and the plans are easy to compare. Work in videos and the headline is only right for someone making 8-minute ones.
Scripts and finished video don't match
Subscribr prices scripts and finished video separately. Five script credits is about one 10-minute script, so Growth writes about 12 of them a month while its video allowance would only generate 6 videos at that length. Pro writes about 36 and renders about 18. Max writes about 60 and renders about 41.
Script and video allowances side by side on Subscribr's comparison table, read on subscribr.ai on 3 October 2026.
Every plan writes roughly twice as many scripts as it can turn into video. That tells you what Subscribr expects you to do with it, which is write far more than you render, and it means a creator who films their own videos is buying the half of the product they'll actually use.
One more thing worth knowing before you pick a plan. The credits included with your plan don't carry over, they refresh each billing cycle, so a quiet month is money you don't get back. Credits you buy as a top-up are different and stay yours until you use them, starting at $20. If your output is lumpy, which most people's is, the included allowance is the part that evaporates.
Who each plan suits
Growth at $83 a month on annual billing suits one person publishing weekly on up to 3 channels. Pro at $208 fits someone posting several times a week or working with an editor, and it's the first plan with 1080p export. Max at $416 is for a portfolio of channels, and at $1 a finished minute it's the cheapest video Subscribr sells.
If you want the scripts and intend to shoot the videos yourself, read the plans as a script allowance and ignore the video counts entirely. On that reading Growth gives you about 3 scripts a week for $83 a month. You can see how it handles a faceless channel in my piece on the best AI script writer for faceless YouTube channels, and you can start on the free plan from Subscribr's own site.
Subscribr connects to Claude, ChatGPT and any MCP agent on every plan including the free one, and the agent spends the same credits you do. That's useful if you drive it from an assistant, and it's worth knowing if you expected the agent route to be metered separately.
What I found using Subscribr
The feature I keep going back to is pasting a link to an existing YouTube video and letting it study that video as a model for the one I'm about to write. It takes the blank page away, lays out a structure built around holding attention, and pulls the research together in one pass.
It gets me about 80% of the way to a finished script. The last stretch is still mine, which means adding my own stories, fixing the pacing and rewriting the closing lines so they sound like me. The full walkthrough is in my Subscribr tutorial.
